Bloodstone & Diamonds by Machine Head

This is an album that I wanted to get when it first came out before Christmas last year and eventually bought a couple of weeks ago. I saw it in HMV in Birmingham in the digi-book version and felt that it was my last chance to pick up this great package. So I decided to buy it. The music is excellent, classic Machine Head. I really enjoyed The Blackening and this album is probably even better, still very hard but also very melodic. Machine Head are one of those bands that seem to have wide appeal despite some of the lyrical content being about adult themes of political and social unrest. The opening track And Now We Die is a true classic.
